[...Happy... he can understand Teddy being glad of that. He knows what it's been like the last several months, with his ever-changing mood and the depression he's been struggling with ever since he'd been pulled out of the dark. He's still fighting it, and it's not like Teddy's proposal is some magical cure-all for his woes and uncertainties and a plethora of fears that could engulf him if he let down his guard too much.

But it's a shield, at least, a balm and a balance. A reminder that even in his worst moments, there's still someone rooting for him. Someone to pull him back from the edge and keep him from becoming the sort of monster they'd wanted him to be. The ring, the arms around him, the smile on Teddy's face... it's all proof of that.

He's safe. He's good. And... Teddy's right. He's happy. So he smiles, to let it show, and nuzzles gently against Teddy's hair, kissing the crown and smoothing it down, if only so he can ruffle it up again later.]

I felt happy. And I still do. I'm really glad you asked, Tee... I don't know when I'd have had the courage to do it.

[He wants to believe that he would, eventually - he's not that pathetic - but it wouldn't have been now, or even soon. This worked out so much better.]

Well... here we are now. [He shuts his eyes with a shudder, reveling in the near overwhelming emotions all of that brings up - Billy's words, the gentle affection, the knowledge that he would ask, even if it'd take time, all of it. It leaves him feeling warm, happy, and even safe, wrapped up in his boyfriend's arms and having their future secured like this.

But, well. There is that whole engagement boner of Billy's and all. Teddy smiles to himself, happy yet playful, as he slides a hand up the buttons of Billy's shirt and starts to undo the top one, the other hand still under his shirt and stroking up and down the side of his waist.]

But you've got the courage for this, right?

[Billy scoffs quietly, arching his back to rub himself eagerly against Teddy once more. His body ought to provide ample response to that question, though after a moment he breathlessly answers it aloud, if only because he knows Teddy likes to hear it.]

If it isn't already obvious. After all, the hard part's over.

[He's got a ring on his finger. What's there to be afraid of now?]

[That earns a little snicker, because lol. "Hard part". Like that's not the thing Teddy's going to work on in a moment.

... Or longer, with all these buttons. He peeks his tongue out as he works on the bottom two, then glances up at him helplessly, though his fingers still work.]

No, these buttons are the hard part. [And this is just the vest.]

[Billy chuckles softly, his hand dragging down to toy with the edge of Teddy's shirt, or at least as far back as he can reach in his position. He can't just stretch his arms the way Teddy can, but he likes to think that he does alright on his own.]

Do you need some help? Sadly, you're not allowed to rip off one birthday suit to get to another.

[As much as it is a blow to his pride to not get something done himself, he knows that this shirt is special, and he knows he tends to get a bit. Careless with clothes, once he gets impatient enough. Not to mention the fact that buttons are needlessly delicate...

But if there's one thing he loves to watch, it's Billy undressing himself when they're like this, because his boyfriend always manages to make it one of the most sensual things he's ever seen. So he'll relent - but not before working on those last two buttons of the vest.]

Let me at least get this one. [Because there is something about taking each other's clothes off and all. He slides the vest off of Billy's shoulders and, once it's down to his elbows, he leans in to press several kisses against his neck. He meant to stop when he got the vest on the floor, but, well... Billy's neck is pretty irresistible.]

Mmm... okay, okay. [Finally, Teddy leans back, hands up to indicate surrender as he leans away enough to lie on his back, intent on watching the show.] You can handle the rest.

[Billy's actually pretty impressed that Teddy lasted that long, considering their usual track record and how unusual it used to be that Billy wore such fancy clothes. He swears sometimes he's turning into Kate.

Or growing up, a worried voice nudges him from the back of his mind, but he crushes it. Childishly. Of course he's growing up. He's about to indulge in some very adult recreation with a very adult ring around his finger in his very adult apartment. With his very adult boyfriend. No, fiancé.

...It's nice to say that.]

Fiancé. [It's murmured under his breath - as he draws his hands back to slowly work at the undershirt buttons, balancing himself with tightened legs against Teddy's body - without context for Teddy's sake, just to say it out loud. He figures it must be just as nice for Teddy, too.] Are we even going to make it into the bedroom?

[Just that word and Teddy's smile softens into something more tender and warm, though he still keeps his eyes on Billy's hands as he works. Fiancé... There's such a weight to that word, one that scared Teddy away for a while before this. But now it's one he gladly carries, and he swears he'd be saying the word over and over if he didn't sound so ridiculous doing it.

He loves to say it, and he's found that he loves to hear it, too. Especially when he's hearing it from his fiancé.]

Maybe in a bit. [That is, if they feel like getting up and moving. Teddy's pretty comfortable where he is, though, and he punctuates that by sliding his hands down Billy's impressive thighs, to his knees, then back up again while he gives a slight arch of his hips. Yeah. Maybe in a bit.]

[Billy smiles back, this time remaining silent as he works, unbuttoning his shirt one by one and allowing his thumb to tease open the material as he goes. He's never thought of his upper body as much of anything to look at - especially not when compared to his broad-shouldered partner, and there's a reason he looks best in tight pants and not muscle shirts - but it's hard to feel self-conscious or unsure when you've got someone watching you with that sort of... hunger, almost. Definitely desire. It's hard to feel inferior when that kind of expression is gazing up at your body.

While his hands are busy, he legs those legs go to work, too, shifting himself forward to straddle Teddy more closely, groins touching beneath the material of their clothes. The motion is agony and delight on an already-strained arousal, and he groans quietly, licking his lips. Suddenly even he's not taking his shirt off quickly enough... better pick up the pace.]

[The motion makes Teddy breathe in deeply, and the delightful sensations it invokes makes him squirm his legs a little and have to fight to keep his hips down, lest he ends up helplessly rutting up against his boyfriend. Instead, he keeps his eyes on the show and his hands on Billy's hips, as if to keep him there.

Still, he can't keep his hands there for long. Once the shirt is nearly off, Teddy moves one up to slide down Billy's chest, eyes full of admiration and desire as he watches the movement, down his sternum and to his abdomen. Billy's torso isn't as broad and muscled as his is, but to Teddy, it's impressive all the same, even if it's not as toned as it was when Billy still underwent superhero training. It's still him, and it's still perfect, and Teddy would love to flip him over and give that torso the ravishing it deserves.

But it's a little hard to flip anyone over when you're on a couch. So he loves with his hands instead, the other one having worked around the shirt to hold Billy's side. He definitely, definitely appreciates what Billy has to show.]

[Billy shivers under Teddy's hands, pressing his body down as much as is comfortably possible for them both, and finally finishes the last button, pulling the shirt backwards and off his shoulders. Once he's free of it he slings it carelessly over the edge of the couch and leans over, sliding his own hands up Teddy's shirt this time. It's much more accessible from the front, and he's all too happy to explore, letting his fingers and palms press down into the dips and curves of the blond's muscles, wanting Teddy to feel the contrast of familiar warm flesh and the cool metal of his new jewelry.]

You'll have to get up if you want those clothes off, you know...

[Teddy gives a slow smirk at the touch and arches his back, leaning into it and loving the contrast of the warmth of Billy's skin and the coolness of the ring on his finger. He's never thought of his own body as attractive, what with years of constantly pressuring himself to be better, to look better, to look just like the men plastered on Abercrombie & Fitch posters, just like the Axe commercials, like everything he could be.

But when Billy touches him like that, looks at him like that, wants to see his body... some of that insecurity fades away, and he doesn't feel so awkward about wanting to show it off. He might think he himself is plain, but as long as Billy thinks he's attractive... well, what's he got to be afraid of?

So he doesn't hesitate when he pushes himself up, one hand staying on the small of Billy's back just so that he won't be jostled by the movement too much. When he's up, he lifts his arms, allowing Billy to pull off the shirt if he wants.]

How do you know I don't want you naked before I take anything off? [Still, he wiggles his fingers to indicate that that is not, in fact, what he wants.]

You have to admit that would be kind of awkward.

[Billy takes no small amount of delight in pulling the shirt up and over Teddy's head, flinging it carelessly aside, smiling playfully at the way it tousles his hair. His hands are in it half a moment later, sifting through the soft locks, smoothing it down and messing it up again. God, but he loves to touch Teddy's hair. He could tease it like this all day and not get bored.]

Besides, bare skin rubbing on the top of your jeans? That would totally chafe. Not sexy at all.

Hmm... You've got a point there. And having a boner trapped in your pants is seriously the most uncomfortable feeling in the world.

[He punctuates that with a little hitch of his hips against Billy's, because yes, that is a boner in his pants and it's definitely not fun or comfortable when it strains, which is what they usually end up doing to each other before pants are done away with.]

[Billy's breath catches in a startled gasp at the sudden jerk against his groin, eyes closing as he enjoys the sensation for a long moment. Thankfully the friction of clothes on clothes is plenty pleasant, something he's certain that Teddy was counting on.]

Nnnn, well. At least there's an easy way to avoid that problem...

[Teddy's been at this long enough to know what feels good and what doesn't, so Billy's reaction gets him to smirk again and slide his hands down his back and under his pants, where he gropes at the skin once he gets a good handful.]

I'm thinking... we should probably go to the bedroom for that part. Fun as the couch is...

[Tommy's still gone, but who knows? With their luck, he'll be back and bursting in to tell them he's back right when they're in the middle of something he really won't want to see.]

Nn... yeah. I don't feel like explaining the stains later if we go too far.

[Plus, you know, it's a courtesy. People do visit them on occasion, and they ought not have sex on it for the same reason he chases Optimus off the furniture. Certain smells tend to stick around, even long after the fact. He wiggles thoughtfully, hands braced on Teddy's bare chest.]

If I gave you permission to carry me there, would that give you some incentive to move?

... Well, I was about to move anyway, but since you gave me permission and all...

[Teddy wastes no time, in case Billy decides to retract his question, to wrap his arms around his boyfriend's knees and shoulders and easily lift him up as he stands. Of course, as he walks, Teddy's mind jumps straight to "carrying over the threshold", which just makes him snort with humor. Not yet, now.]

We probably left enough of a hint about what we're going to do, anyway. [You know, considering the shirts haphazardly thrown to the side. Or, if that's not enough, the sounds that'll likely come from their room, what with the spell fading out a while ago...]

[It's times like this that he can really appreciate Teddy's strength, and his love of carrying Billy; there's something undeniably romantic about being lifted and held this way, and so effortlessly, besides. He winds his arms around Teddy's neck again and cuddles in close, smiling a bit shyly. There's nothing new about this, but it still feels... different, somehow. As if one word and a ring could change everything.]

Well, aside from Tommy, people usually don't just burst in uninvited, so I think we'll be okay.

[Teddy's about to make another quip when he steps through their doorway, and he ends up stopping for a moment, because it just seems all too real once again. Holding Billy in his arms, seeing him smile like that and feeling the cool metal against his bare skin, in their bedroom, where they've slept and laughed and cried, played games and read comics and made love, talked about the present and the past and the future, kissed each other awake and asleep...

This room, more than anything else in this world, is home to him, because he and Billy made it so. Nothing could replace his home back on Earth, the true world where he belongs, but with Billy here, it's the next best thing. They could be on a whole other planet and still find a way to create a little home for them. And now, they're engaged, and one day they'll be husbands...

With that in mind, instead of providing Billy with another remark, he leans in to nuzzle their foreheads and noses gently, and whisper quietly:]

Fiancé.

[Billy opens his mouth to respond - because he'd love to just keep saying it over and over, fiancé, fiancé, because it's wonderful - but something in the way Teddy looks at him in that moment steals the word right out of his throat. He mouths it, silently, and then tilts his head to catch Teddy's lips with his own instead. He's already said the only word that really matters today - yes yes yes - so everything else is just fanfare, anyway.]

[Teddy holds him up a little higher, just so that he can return the kiss a bit more easily, and steps forward again. He's much slower this time, both to not disrupt the kiss and to not trip over anything (because wouldn't that just ruin the kiss). Once his foot bumps against the bed, Teddy lowers them both until Billy's on his back with Teddy above him, still keeping the kiss connected.

It's after another moment that Teddy breaks the kiss and raises himself up a bit, giving Billy enough room to adjust and get more comfortable on the bed.]

Think I should lock the door...?

[Billy shifts slightly on the bed to find just the right position, his gaze drifting briefly to the door as he does so. While a locked door is plenty reassuring, without the soundproof spell that had worn off months ago all it did was protect uninvited guests from seeing what they were up to, not hearing it. And most people wouldn't barge in upon hearing them. The only one would might could just vibrate through the door anyway.

After that consideration, he shakes his head, lacing his fingers together behind Teddy's neck to keep him there.]

Leave it. Let's live dangerously tonight.

I like the way you think. [With a little smirk on his face, Teddy lowers himself down to nuzzle his nose and lips against the crook of Billy's neck while one hand cups the back of it, and murmurs against his skin.] Let's get dangerous.

[Silly and nerdy, of course. But that's just Teddy's way, and hopefully Billy won't mind how dorky it sounds when Teddy starts grazing his teeth against his skin and fitting his hips against his boyfriend's.]

[Billy sets free a quiet snort of laughter into Teddy's hair, fingers shifting to slide back through it once more. They slide against the earrings dotting Teddy's lobes and linger there, the gold of his ring clinking pleasantly against silver.]

I am the terror that faps in the night...

[God, Teddy's bad jokes really have rubbed off on him. Well, at least it's not the only thing that has.]
