Hey out there, Luceti. Are we all more or less ourselves again? Pretty sure we are, uh... here's hoping.

Considering how crazy things have been lately, Teddy and I were talking, and we think it'd be a good time to run this. We all need a break. So courtesy of the LGBTQQA Club - um, I'm tentatively calling it "Alliance", for the sake of minimizing all the abbreviations, better name possibly pending - I'm happy to introduce: Luceti's first-ever (I think) Speed Dating.

If you don't know what speed dating is, it's pretty much exactly how it sounds. The idea is we'd all get together, pair up, you'd talk to someone you might not have talked to before for about ten minutes, and then afterwards decide how you liked it and if you want to see them again. First impressions count for a lot, and sometimes that's all it takes to find your true love or your new best friend.

We're going to run it next weekend - Saturday afternoon, we figure is a good time - and sign-ups are starting now so we'll have time to pair everyone up. Anyone can participate, not just club members or people in the LGBT spectrum, and you're not obligated to do anything if you don't like it. So why not give it a shot? ...And we'll have cookies. Teddy's making them and the recipe looks amazing. Anyone else want to bring some food and stuff? We can have a table for contributions...

Um, anyway. I'll be over by the plaza today, and on the journal network, too, if you've got any questions or if you want to sign up.

I suppose I've never really had the time to think about that sort of thing? [ As in romance at all and sexuality at all. There have been other more pressing matters to deal with, such as staying alive and not dying.

[ And Prim, for her part, isn't likely to press about it. That Teddy didn't feel well is enough information for her to be entirely okay with Billy looking after him and being distracted. She likes Teddy; of course she'd prefer he took care of himself over something silly like her birthday party. ]

I'm glad he's okay now - I was a little worried. He's one of the first people I spoke to, here. And Katniss' friend, too.

Believe me, we're both happy he's back to his old self again, too. Teddy isn't Teddy unless he's out and talking to people.

He is really friendly, isn't he? I've met a lot of people who seem to know him. One of them was - Steve? Rogers? He was running a booth at the cultural fair.

Oh, yeah- we both know Steve, actually. He's... well, not exactly from our world, but a version of him exists in ours, so we kind of latched on. He's an amazing guy.

A - a version of him? ...This place makes some of the weirdest sentences possible.

Oh god, doesn't it? I didn't even think about it, it's so normal now.

I expect eventually I'll get used to it, it just...hasn't happened yet. I find myself saying things and then wonder what I just actually said? Even when it's accurate?

Yeah, that was me for a while after I got here. I still get surprised by some things, but weird is definitely the norm now.

More normal than this, yeah. I mean, strange things still happened, compared to a lot of other worlds - monsters, and super powers, and alien invasions - but not as much of what goes on around this place.

I...can't say anything like that happened at my home. Beyond the Games, and then the war, I can't think of anything really...strange, but I don't know what the benchmark is.

I don't think there's any one benchmark, anyway. Not with the number of worlds that exist here. Strange is whatever you think it is.

That sounds like a fair way of looking at it.
