[Okay, so. Post-draft, he's given himself a few days of seclusion and bed-rest (apparently being infected with a zombie virus is exhausting), and even Billy can freely admit to himself that he's been pretty depressed lately, a fact for which he feels no shame considering that depression was well and truly earned. One can only spend so much time fretting, moping, and dwelling on one's own misery for so long, however, and today? He's decided that enough is enough. Billy will be going out today, limping around the village and visiting the people who were on the draft whose fate he's still uncertain of. The ones he can't find or has no reason to actually visit, he'll check with a light location spell, and he'll spend a few hours at Seventh Heaven people-watching out the window while he doodles in a book that Teddy had given him containing a series of patterns (much like this) that resemble inkblogs, and bit by bit Billy's turning them into something like this instead. It's been a tiring week, though, so you could always catch him napping on the table, instead.

At some point he'll attempt to find Peter, and when both a location spell and a teleport fails, he tries to teleport to the apartment he'd been staying at instead, finding it almost completely emptied. All he manages to dig up is a small cartridge that, after a moment of scrutiny, he identifies as a web fluid cartridge. His fanboyish glee at the discovery is tempered by the fact that the empty apartment means one more piece of bad news.

After his visits and window-watching is done, he'll return home to make the announcement, along with one more message-]

Hey out there... just wanted to let his friends know that Peter Parker went home. So... sorry. Yeah.

...We still on for tomorrow, or do you want to take a break? Because... you know. [Draft. Awfulness all around. He wouldn't blame Loki if he wanted to take a week off.

Later on in the evening he'll be over at Ben's barbeque, if anyone wants to bother him while he's there.]

[ She shuts the journal, heading off to find the most disgustingly unhealthy thing the bakery stocks. Will he like chocolate...? ]

[Chocolate is an acceptable offering! Prefers vanilla, but this has the benefit of Teddy liking it, too.

When she arrives, she can find him in the fifth floor kitchen, sitting at one of the tables mixing up some mocha hot chocolate. It smells tasty as all hell 8|b]

I sure hope I'm not bad enough to let it fall off. [It's wrapping up something it can't be that hard 8[

And sure enough, after several more passes with the bandage, Teddy secures it in place, then runs a hand down it, satisfied that it seems to fit snugly. Not too tight, but not too loose.]

How's that?

I think that might be taking things a little too far. I'd have to become a hermit and go and live in the mountains or something.

Won't be the first time I've been responsible for people injected with something malicious. [Loki's working with Slade. It's obvious. It all makes sense now and Robin was too blind to see it until it was too late! Of course!

He just hurts too much to do anything about it yet. Soon. Maybe he'll set Jason on some investigating work later.]

Let's see...

[Billy gives his leg a light shake, then smiles faintly, easing back in his spot and closing his eyes, relieved and pleased by both the results and the fact that it's over. Teddy was gentle, of course, and it feels like he did just fine, but treating injuries kind of sucks in general.]

Perfect. I think I'd better promote you to Doctor Altman for treatment this fine.

One day you will either learn to watch what you say around me, or learn to roll with it.

[No, it really doesn’t happen often. Then again, it’s mitigated by the fact that housework is something Tony hates to do anyway—which makes the fact that he’s been working so hard at it all the sweeter.

Still, Pepper will be glad to have Billy back at it too, and not only for the sake of her house.]

Only if you’re feeling up to it. The laundry isn’t worth pushing yourself too hard for your own good.

[Though truth be told, she hopes Billy’s right about his estimate; she’s starting to feel restless herself.]

We wouldn't want you passing out in our laundry pile. That'd just be awkward. Honestly.

[Code for not until you're absolutely ready, bro. But if that's sooner rather than later, he won't argue.]

Don't go jumping the gun on that yet. Just because I halfway know how to bandage up a wound doesn't mean I'm suddenly an expert on all things doctory.

[But he still smiles at the praise. It means a lot, knowing that Billy's got faith in him, would let him deal with a wound like that... heh.]

So, where to next? Couch or bed?

Mm... if you get me to the bed, I can give you some of that TLC I promised.

[That can even be interpreted as an invitation to help him get there- pride is one thing, but he knows it's okay to be pampered, too. And no one's better at that than Teddy.]

Well, I did mean time between sleeping or recovering or other responsibilities, but yeah, I've been kind of slacking off since we got back. I got hit in the head. [He gives the side of his head a few little taps. But following Loki's request, he lifts his hands, summoning a puzzle into his palm seemingly from out of nowhere, transported from his apartment. He sets it down and, with a bit of focus (but less than it had taken the last time) solves it pretty quickly.]

Looks like it's true that repetition is a good way to learn something.

It is a bit chilly these days isn't it? You like to draw? Can I see some of your sketches sometime?

Are you sure? I've probably written a few hundred in my lifetime so far, I've got lots of practice.

[He lifts his mug in mock salute.]

"Dear Mr. Hawkeye, thank you for saving Manhattan (for the fifty-seventh time) from the latest alien invasion. I noticed you changed your costume again. Purple spandex suits you well. Your fan, Billy Kaplan."

"Today is not that day." [The reference makes him quirk a little smile, even if he doesn't expect Zevran to get it.] I'll try to keep that in mind.

[Only with people he really likes, good sir.]

Maybe if it was clean laundry. Nothing quiet like cozying up on a pile of clean sheets right out of the dryer.

[And he totally hasn't done that with your sheets ever.]

[Wow, Robin, he's so glad he's not a mind-reader. You can practically hear the paranoid gears of his mind working.]

What do you know about Loki, anyway? Just what you've been told by the Avengers?

[He's not accusing - he's not really in any position to defend Loki - but he can't help being curious.]

[He slides the sketchbook towards her, picking up the spoon and starting on his soup at last before it gets too cold. The sketchbook is full of designs like the one linked above, as well as random villager profiles and super heroes.]

[Rogue propped one hand on her hip and sighed at him in mostly mock exasperation.]

You're gonna argue semantics with me while I'm givin' you a chance ta get out of trainin' sessions with Wolverine?

I don't think Sue counted as an Avenger while she was here.

[That in itself should give enough information about how much he's been informed. Directly, anyway.Stalking potential baddies is kind of his thing.]

That sounds like something Alistair or Sten would say. Mm. [Or perhaps even the Warden.]

And perhaps, even one day, you might be the one to make me cough, sputter, and blush.

Actually, she's an Avenger. Just not one of theirs.

I think their Loki is different from the one Sue and I know. Not saying he wasn't a villain or that he's not planning anything - I have know idea if he is or he isn't - but this one seems a lot less... cliche. I think if he was really going to plot all of our demises he'd be less obvious about it.

No. Stop right there. Spandex. I... spandex is never good.

I am quitting right now if I am required to wear spandex.

[Not that his outfit leaves much more to the imagination to be fair, but it's the principle of the thing.]

[Loki watches what Billy does keenly, also follow along the movement of magics, the alterations in reality. He nods, looking pleased.]
