Ben said that I was. Sue too. I am... very confused. Although I admit, the presumed dead does sound like me.

Honestly? Even I'm not sure how it really works. Death's... not always permanent where I come from, and both Teddy and my brother are from further into the future than me, Sue, or Ben, and they both agree that Hawkeye's alive and well.

Not usually a big fan of dead things not staying dead, but I think this time I can make an exception.

It's weird to be talaking about another version of me and their not quite deadness. Schroedinger's Hawkeye.

I can promise you that 99.9% of all revivals in my universe are unrelated to zombies, at least. If that's a concern.

...Huh. When someone is brought back but they're not a zombie, can they still be called "undead"? Just saying they're "alive" makes the whole death + revival kind of disappear, even though it should be a big deal...

Resurrected probably works, as long as nobody gets fussy about the religious implications.

At least when I'm among the damned, I can remember that I was entertaining to a couple of superheroes from another universe.

You'd think God would have a sense of humour about this kind of thing.

This is definitely the most philosophical conversation I've had in a while.

Really-really. While he was... dead, or presumed dead, anyway, the Young Avengers got our very own Hawkeye. Cap said she earned the name, as well as his bow. And she's amazing with it.

Careful there, I'll start to feel inadequate. [And he'll just try to keep ignoring that he's dead, or sort of dead but not really in this other world.]

I'm impressed she can even draw it.

[It might be different there, but his bow has a hell of a draw weight on it.

But there's something kind of cool about it too, that someone could take on his name and live up to his reputation.]
