[IC] Appointments Post

Feel free to use this post for random threads, backtagging or forwardtagging, whatever.
It can be Written, Action, Voice, or just a quick call on the journal system for whatever reason.
When you tag, please put a [Style, Date] in the subject line to start it out, eg.:
[Action, January 1st]
Thanks!
[action, July 30th]
[Billy tries to take a step towards Logan, reaching out as if to help, but his legs suddenly tremble and buckle in about two seconds flat, dropping him right to his knees. Apparently willpower is not, in fact, enough.]
Uh. I think... we might need some help.
[action, July 30th]
Well I didn't bring a journal. You made your point, so get going.
[action, July 30th]
Sorry... think I just need a breather. My legs feel like Jello.
[action, July 30th]
Or he's full of shit.]Sure. I ain't going anywhere.
[action, July 30th]
Billy relaxes quietly for a long moment, giving his sore legs a rub-down, then glances cautiously over at Logan.]
...Are you mad? That I didn't leave right away, I mean.
[action, July 30th]
[Any of the X-Men would have done the same. Or at least tried to. Seeing as how he was in charge, they'd listen if he told them to leave him behind. Most of them anyway.]
[action, July 30th]
[He probably will have to make a run for it once his legs start behaving, though. Until then, they're pretty much stuck.
He sits and stews and gets a bit angry with himself for being too damn stubborn for a moment, then slides a leg up to hug his knee to his chest. It helped with Rogue, so maybe...
...well, it's a conversation starter, anyway.]
Actually, speaking of which... I don't know if Rogue told you, but I'm a mutant, too.
[action, July 30th]
News to me. So all that magic stuff you're doing. That's your mutant power, ain't it?
[action, July 30th]
That's the general assumption, yeah. It's not confirmed, but there's no other explanation.
[action, July 30th]
[Jean and Wanda come to mind, but even then, they don't get to just decide to have teleporting powers.]
[action, July 30th]
[Which isn't exactly a complaint, but it's not entirely pleased, either.]
[action, July 30th]
[Logan, Rogue, Remy... they've all suffered in their own different ways from being a mutant.]
So why the Avengers? I didn't think they ran with mutants so much.
[action, July 30th]
[Understatement of the century, but he's not about to go into M-Day when he doesn't even have a proper explanation for it.]
[action, July 30th]
[Unless they were, you know, not pretty. Or mean. Or jerks. Or he didn't much care for them at the time. But any other time, Chuck is a saint!]
[action, July 30th]
[Outing himself as a mutant and getting stuck on that reservation while the government sorted out what the hell to do with them? No thanks.]
And the professor doesn't run the school anymore, or so I've heard.
[action, July 30th]
[No professor? So who does that leave in charge? If it was now, that would put him or Ororo in charge. Hank in a pinch.]
Well, it's a shame. With some work, you might make a half decent member of the team.
[action, July 30th]
o m g
that was like 30% of an invitation to join the X-Men]
...Really? You think?
[action, July 30th]
Cool it, kid. That ain't an invitation. There's no team to join here.
[action, July 30th]
I-I know. Sorry. It's just- it's cool. The X-Men are-
[...augh, he's either going to start gushing or repeating himself now, so he lets his enthusiasm fizzle and slumps back against the wall again.]
...Sorry. I've kind of been a fan all my life.
[action, July 30th]
[He grunts as he shifts position a little.]
So if you're a fan, you won't mind much taking orders. So get going.
[action, July 30th]
Damn.
With a slight grimace he pushes off the wall and stands up, stretching his legs and glancing off in the direction they'd been walking.]
You can't order someone who's not on the team, you know. [Stop being a brat, Kaplan.] ...I'll come back with help. It's a promise.
[action, July 30th]
And try to ignore how much his hands hurt with those claws sticking out of them.]
[action, July 30th]
Still, he's sure that he'll be glad of this belatedly, if he doesn't regret it later. It was nice to get things out in the open.]
