[He's been trying to come to terms with this whole thing, and he's better, but it's not as if he's out in any real sense. The only people beside Billy who really know are Thor, Rogue, Jack, Eugene, Zevran, and Vastra. Which, now that it's suddenly important again, feels like far too many even if he's not worried about any of them running to his mother about it.
But he also hears the disappointment in Billy's voice. And that hurts. He's spent his life being a disappointment to various people, mostly Odin. He'd thought to fix it by just not caring any more, but apparently he does still for a select few. And one of them is Billy. One of them is also Frigga.]
I've hurt her enough already.
[And disappointed her besides. And to make it worse, most of it is things he wouldn't change, even if he could. Even if Odin was still alive, he'd be in Hel before he'd give the man so much as an honest inch of ground. But this, he can do, easily. He was already hesitant about the idea before.]

...Let me tell you something... about the LGBT community. The one I'm used to. Part of what brings us together is that almost everyone within it knows what it's like to feel ashamed or scared by what they're feeling. Most of us have had to hide a big part of who we are from the people we love for one reason or another. I hid the fact that I was gay from my parents for five years, and in the end I still didn't tell them- they just told me they already knew. I lived with that fear of rejection, of letting them down, of hurting them because of who I am and who I love. So many people get that.
[And he hates it- that so many have the same experience, and that so many have experiences much, much worse than him. His parents had accepted him wholeheartedly. Thousands of others are hurt, abused, kicked out, even killed. Hiding is a major part of the culture. Until society changes, that's just how it is.]
I'm not telling you to come if you don't feel comfortable. But the whole idea of this club is that it's meant to create a safe space. If anyone, anyone outs another member to someone not part of the club, then they aren't welcome and they sure as hell don't belong.
