[Give him a minute, he's still riding the chocolate-peanut-butter wave.]

Mmm... how could you possibly tell?

[Okay, yeah, maybe he's exaggerating a little. But it really does taste amazing. Teddy never ceases to surprise him with how good his food is, even when Billy's come to expect great taste.]

Hard to say. Maybe I'm just good at picking up on these things.

[Or maybe it's the near-orgasmic look on Billy's face. Mission successful, then, and it makes Teddy feel giddy inside. It's always a good feeling, making the person you're in love with happy. Even better when it's from cooking, one of the very few hobbies where Teddy can make something with his hands and not break anything.]

Knowing the way you eat, it'll probably last a while, too. [Which means Teddy should probably stay far away from it, lest half of it disappears within a day or less.]

Oh god, I might actually break tradition with this. You've created a competition for my one true love.

[He's not sure if he wants to devour the entire thing over the course of the day or savour it thoroughly by making it last several months instead.Then aga in, he is living with the cook...

Speaking of which, Billy hasn't thanked him properly yet, so now that Teddy's sitting closer, he reaches out for his hand.]

[Teddy doesn't pull his hand away, but he does laugh a little, letting Billy pull him over. Well, more like he follows Billy's pull to push himself over.]

You sure about that? I might just eat the entire slice. You know how I get with food. ... And competition.

I think we can find some kind of truce between you two. And maybe a compromise, too...

[He lets his actions speak for themselves rather than explaining- as soon as Teddy's close enough, he leans in to press his lips against the blond's, for a deep, grateful, chocolate-peanut-butter-flavoured kiss.]

[... Well. This is certainly a compromise he can get behind. Teddy lifts his hand to touch Billy's cheek, shuts his eyes and opens up to the kiss, tasting the chocolate-peanut-butter thoroughly before he pulls back, tongue peeking out to swipe along his lips.]

[Billy runs his tongue along the front of his teeth and smiles, picking off another chunk of the pie to nibble.]

Mmhm. Seriously though, you can have a slice for real if you want. I don't have to eat it all myself, and you know Tommy's going to want some when he's around.

Well... I haven't had any breakfast yet.

[So Teddy will help himself, but only to one slice. Once he cuts a slice for himself and sets it on the plate, he stands to make himself some coffee, because he really can't get through a morning without coffee to wake him up.

Before taking a sip or a bite, though, Teddy goes back to Billy, bends down to kiss the top of his head, then leans his head over to whisper in his ear.]

There's something else I have for you, you know. One more present for the late-birthday-boy.

[He's totally encouraging some terrible health decisions. It's a good thing Teddy doesn't get sick.

He's still nibbling away at his own piece when Teddy speaks up again, earning his boyfriend yet another quirked eyebrow.]

You know, if we keep trying to outdo ourselves every birthday, in a couple of years we'll be running whole birthday parades.

[...Not... that he's complaining.]
