[ A split second of confusion. Just one. They're identical, he doesn't notice anything on Billy's face that he wouldn't see on his own (barring that dumb headband, goggles all the way).

And if he's only almost 18, that means that... Well. It means a lot of things, none of which he's particularly willing or eager to disclose. ]

I'm still older.

You're still claiming that? It's not like we know who was- you know what, forget it.

[He doesn't care. He doesn't care who's older, or who wins the stupid argument, or what time Tommy's from or any of it. It's irrelevant, unimportant.

What matters is that Tommy's here now, right in front of him, and it's been a year, and it all hits him in that moment: how much he's missed his stupid, obnoxious, dorky brother.

So Billy's moving in to wrap his arms around him now, and he damn well better accept it.]

[ Hugs are hard. Tommy stiffens, shifting a little awkwardly - but it's been a year. A whole year since the last time he got a reaction out of Billy that wasn't a half-hearted response to a nerd-quote or barely shrugging off his increasingly obnoxious attempts to get his brother's attention.

So he lets the hug go on a little longer than he normally would have, ruffling Billy's hair with a lightning fast hand as they part. ]

You're such a loser. And I'm starving.

[That was... oddly affectionate for Tommy, and Billy has to pause to ponder it for a moment, brows furrowed as he gazes quizzically at his brother. He'd been a bit strange sometimes during his last visit to Luceti, but it had been subtle enough that Billy'd only gotten hints of it here and there. Somehow he's getting the sense that it's... worse. Or better? He's not sure what the right word for it is. It's good that Tommy's more cool about physical touch than before, but...

...well, whatever. One thing at a time.]

There's a bunch of shops and a restaurant down the road- about four miles that way. We can get your clothes and some food.

[He points, already glowing blue for another teleport, lips quirking into a smile.]

Meet you there?

[He knows Tommy hates teleporting, and if he follows the road he hopefully won't get lost again.]

[Billy's not far behind him, flaring into existence in the middle of the plaza, by the fountain. What's that brother of his getting into now?]

[ HE GOT HIS CLOTHES AND HE'S THROWING HIS CIVVIES ON. ]

[He'll just... change into civvies, too. Because wandering around town in spandex is a bit weird.]

[Aside from the orange glasses bit that could totally be Eli, but he's never thought of he and Tommy as friends.]

Oh yeah, great guy. We had coffee twice, now I think he'd die for me. He's like some freakish super genius too.

I had no idea you could endear yourself to anyone that fast.

[God, he missed snarking at Tommy.]

So does this super-genius have a name?

One of us had to get the social skills. [ uhhhh what looks good to eat. HOW ABOUT PIZZA... ] David.

Well, that was... weird. But whatever, that's Tommy for you. Billy quirks a brow but refrains from commenting, instead leading the way into the restaurant so they can get something to eat. Despite the whole wing thing, thankfully this place is pretty normal.]

So... I figure you've read some of it already, but I should probably give you a head's up- the timeline's screwy for us, too. The last thing I remember from home is getting captured post-SRA, and Teddy was in the middle of another Skrull invasion. Kate, I'm not sure about. She hasn't talked about it.

[Which is... concerning, but he's happier not knowing his future anyway.]

[ ... He makes a mental note to talk to her, trying to keep pace with billy but inevitably keeping a few steps ahead. ]

I figured as much. It's better than you don't know anyway. I mean, timetravel is just a headache in itself without making it worse by worrying about paradoxes. Can you walk any faster? Come on, I'm starving!

...You know what? Come on, we'll go to the bakery. The food there's already made so we won't have to wait around.

[Considering how antsy Tommy is already, he can't see him wanting to sit around for stuff to be prepped. SWITCHING DIRECTIONS.]

And yeah, that's how I feel, too- about not knowing. It's why I haven't asked. I don't want to start any weird paradoxes.
