[voice/written/action]
Hey, ah... Vision - I mean, Jonas - of the Young Avengers got sent home. Sorry, if you knew him.
[Why is he always full of bad news? Ugh... let’s try to be less depressing for a while.]
There’s something else I wanted to talk about today: since I got here almost a year ago I’ve noticed how there’s this huge range of cultural norms across the multiverse- which makes sense, different worlds have different standards, I get it. People who are accepted in one world aren’t tolerated in another. Luceti’s kind of an anomaly, where there’s really not much, if any prejudice. I mean, there’s the whole Malnosso versus Us mentality, but that’s because of what they do, not what they are. Basically what I’m saying is that I think that’s great, and I want to do my part to keep encouraging that universal acceptance here for the people who might not be able to get it back where they come from, open up discussions to people who might not be sure about who or what they are, um...
Okay, this is a really roundabout way of saying I want to start an LGBT club. If you don’t know what that means, here’s a breakdown:
[Below is a jotted list-
L = Lesbian = girls attracted to girls
G = Gay = guys attracted to guys
B = Bisexual = guys and girls attracted to BOTH guys and girls
T = Transgender = People who feel like they were born in the body of the wrong gender (or genderfluid)
*Q = Questioning = Anyone not sure about the above or if they apply
And then it returns to voice.]
Those are really oversimplified, and there's still a lot of other words people use to define themselves, but you get the gist of it. I’d really like to meet up with anyone who matches any those descriptions, or feels like they might, or are just curious about it. I’m gonna put up some posters with suggested meeting times and places, but if you have any questions or just want to talk about it, you can use the journal (it’s okay to be anonymous!) or come right to the school. I’ve got a table set up and I’ll be here pretty much all day. I don't know if this is going to go anywhere, but it's worth a shot, right?
One last thing- we’re looking to make this a safe place, so if you plan to come just to make fun of people: we have a Hulk.
[And true to his word, Billy will be at the school, curled up in a chair at a plain table littered with papers. He’s designing posters and doodling various symbols to use for logos. Come bother him if you like?]

[Voice, May 3rd]
We had to! How often do you get a chance to do something like that?
[Voice, May 3rd]
I'm sad that we never got the chance to throw you a bachelor party. I hear those things are pretty wild.
[Voice, May 3rd]
Did Jack mention no?]
. . . you know, I'm fairly certain that even considering exposing you to lewdness or bad behaviour damns me to Gay Stereotype Hell.
[Voice, May 3rd]
And not that he's mentioned the reality-warping yet, either.]
You do realize that I'm a teenage guy living with his boyfriend without any adult supervision? I'm pretty sure the time for protecting my innocence has well and truly passed.
[Voice, May 3rd]
[Even if the sorts of things that young adults get up to in the privacy of their own flats is almost wholesome, compared to the array of things Jack imagines in response to the phrase 'pretty wild.']
Never mind that Luceti is sort of eerily wholesome, I'm not sure how risqué of a stag party one could actually scrape together.
[Voice, May 3rd]
True, it might be hard to find, like, a male stripper for a bachelor party.
[....]
Zev might do it.
[Voice, May 3rd]
Might be a bit more thrilling if we weren't housemates. Thanks for the thought, though.
[It might also be a bit more thrilling if they hadn't been fooling around since December, but that's an awkward thing to broach at the best of times.]
Besides, I'm just . . . not certain I'm sold on this whole 'last night of freedom' idea? I mean, heck, you're supposed to have your best friends at these things, aren't you? Well, he's the best friend I have. I think I'd keep wishing he was there to see the madness. [He pauses a moment.] I don't know. Is that just hideously sentimental?
[Voice, May 3rd]
[He can't imagine ever wanting a party like that, but if he had to have one, it wouldn't feel right without Teddy there with him.]
I think it's more of a traditional thing. Most people don't get married when they don't want to, these days, but there's nothing wrong with a celebration before the real party starts. Girls have bridal showers, guys have bachelor parties... it's just a thing. I just assumed if we were gonna do it - theoretically - Eugene would come along too.
[Voice, May 3rd]
[Jack's wry grin is audible.]
So . . . less of a stag party, more of a debauched celebration where marriage is the convenient excuse for hosting it in the first place.
[Voice, May 3rd]
[Sort of. He's still a bit iffy on the party thing, but he can deal with that, considering it's all theoretical anyway.]
[Voice, May 3rd]
[It's a little ominous, maybe just a little, if only for the way Jack grins with the promise.]
But! In the meantime, let us know when the meeting is. I can bully Eugene into making rainbow cake or something. And see if anyone else in the house wants to come along, if this is a more-the-merrier sort of thing.
[Voice, May 3rd]
I mean, that's the goal, anyway.
