BILLY KAPLAN will be either a) flying/teleporting around or b) wandering through the chaos just wondering what the hell is going on; he's never seen this in Luceti before, and it's definitely something to look at. He'll be watching for familiar faces, definitely, or just poking at interesting-looking people.

EDWARD ELRIC is, surprise! Back from his kidnapping. Sort of. Temporarily. And he's trying to get himself home, but who knows what he'll run into on the way... eh-heh.

ASCH is in Good Spirits, mostly unruffled because he's been through like five years of this madness and refuses to get his feathers ruffled. But he will anyway, because he's like that. You might catch him outside as well, if he decides he's had enough and tries to drown himself in the lake or something. (This is entirely possible.)

[He trails off, swallowing hard as he remembers what happened with Iron Lad. What if it's a timeline thing? What if she has to die?

[Wow, what a weird clash with the Cyclops of his time. Not that he knows the guy well, but he's never this openly... happy. At all. Then again, with recent happenings with the mutants, who would be?]

[This is a Cyclops who's never had to look at a dead Jean Grey. It makes all the difference. He extends a cordial hand.]

[I know. He should probably mention that, but... well, maybe next time. Billy takes the hand for a firm shake, though, finally returning the smile. This never stops being cool.]

[He still doesn't have the full explanation - and he seriously doubts he ever will until he actually lives it - but each piece of the puzzle helps to create the bigger picture. Of course... the Scarlet Witch is the one who caused Cassie's dad to die. So finding her could bring him back.]

[He glances behind him and rolls his shoulder, as if it might make his old wings sprout back out.]

[Just like that. It's one of the things he likes most about Luceti. You can talk about being who you are and nobody cares. If only home could be so uncomplicated.]

[His straightforward question makes Billy blink, surprised, and it takes him a moment to shake it off.]

Uh. Yeah, actually. How'd you know?

Lots of things happened. I set off the dominoes. I made a bad call and now Cassie's dead.

[There's a tremble in his bottom lip, but like hell he's going to entertain the idea of crying about it. Again.]

I saw you using your powers just now. Has Kurt been helping with your teleporting?

[He looks startled. Hasn't he come out yet?]

Wha- oh, no, I'm not a teleporter. ...I mean, I am, but only when I want to be. My power's-

[He lifts a hand, an arc of sparking blue light appearing over his palm.]

[He doesn't know what to say. He's not going to blame his friend for what happened - especially with what he already suspects - but he lacks the knowledge to properly disagree. He opts for a hand on the other teen's shoulder instead.]

The "do anything" kind of magic? [His eyebrows raise, impressed.] Cool.

[He shrugs the hand away. It's not fair. Nothing is fair. He's stuck in the interplanetary ghetto that barely has running water, and Billy gets to stay in the suite that's got cafes and electricity. Probably internet too, somewhere. Why does he always have to work twice as hard for everything? Cassie's dead. They should all have to pay for it equally.]

Basically, yeah. Though it can be unpredictable, so it's not like it's unlimited.

[Well, that was kind of a horrible bust. Billy leaves his hand hovering for a moment, empty, before he finally lets it drop. There really are no words for this.]

[Now he wonders what other bad news people might be hiding from him. It's kind of scary. Eli does have a point, though, even if that point is just that they're going to be running around in circles if they keep this up.]

...Yeah, that makes sense. But it's a moot point, either way- I've tried offworld teleportation, and nothing's worked.

How long have you been with the X-men? [Because mutant = X-man even if he's from some alternate dimension or wacky future timeline or something.]
