[Billy, you are the worst mischief buddy ever. Loki is never taking you anywhere again.

He steps very carefully on Billy's foot, but it's too later. The singing draws to a close. Everyone starts picking up their various parts again. The supervisor sort looks at Loki:] I think the robot's broken worse than you said.

[Loki looks painfully unimpressed.] I think you may be right. If only it weren't a terribly valuable heirloom, I would scrap it.

[selfhelp]

[Ow, foot. Billy scowls a bit behind his mask, stifling his laughter, though it doesn't stop him from elbowing Loki lightly in the side. Get off, you. It's your fault he laughed so hard.]

[complicatedliar]

[Loki sighs dramatically and resists the incredibly mature urge to kick Billy in the shins.]

Seeing what it is I must put up with, will you not help? A few parts, and I shall be on my way.

[The supervisor doesn't look impressed, but it was a good enough show:] The storage room is right down the hall.

[selfhelp]

[Wow. Honestly, after all that, Billy's kind of shocked that it still worked. He glances over at Loki, surprise in his body language, then shrugs it off and starts towards the room the supervisor had indicated. A broken robot can be a go-getter or something, he figures. And as fun as this is, he'll be happy to get out of this whole area. The suit is way too uncomfortable.]

[complicatedliar]

[Sometimes Billy, people just think you're too pathetic or weird to want to bother with. It seems they've managed to achieve that, somehow.

Loki follows along at an unhurried pace, and opens the storage room door.]

Well, that could have gone better.

[He picks one of the parts off a shelf. It's a bit dusty... ah, this is probably for all of the discontinued bits and bobs. Well, that's fine. There was no requirement in the listing that the parts had to be new.]

Good enough, though. [The part vanishes between his hands. And he picks up another, since he can give that to Rapunzel or bargain it with someone else.]

What are you talking about? I say that went great. I'm gonna treasure that memory as long as I live.

[He can't help being cheeky- Loki was singing, come on. Meanwhile, though, he pokes around on one of the nearby shelves, tugging his mask off to see it better. There's so much old stuff here, and some of it is even recognizable. He wanders a bit aimlessly through the bits, but when he catches sight of a flash of dusty red he practically lunges forward, dragging it out of a pile it'd been half-buried in, revealing this.]

Whoa, talk about retro...!

[complicatedliar]

Next time, grab the things people have put down. [He shakes his head slowly.]

[Loki peers at the object.]

What is that?

It's part of HAL. It's a computer from a really old sci-fi movie back home. Wonder where they found it?

[complicatedliar]

...this movie business again.

[He shrugs.] Made up out of whole cloth like the rest, I should think.

[selfhelp]

Come on, I like movies. Everybody's got a thing.

[Most people, anyway. He tucks the part into his costume, though, because there's no way he's letting that one go. Even if he has to trade it for points, he can at least show Teddy.]

Think that's enough?

[complicatedliar]

'tis more a matter that everyone speaks of them yet I still have not encountered even one.

[He takes two more parts and causes them to vanish.] Yes, that ought to be enough.

[selfhelp]

[...............omg]

You've never seen a movie!? Oh my god, we have to fix this.

[complicatedliar]

[Dryly:] We don't really have them in Asgard.

[selfhelp]

Definitely fixing this, then. What kind of stories do you like? I'll see if I can find a movie for you. And we're gonna watch it.

I rather like histories. [This idea is actually a bit amusing.]
