Yeah, he seems fine. Not... completely okay, but he's living. I can't help but feel somehow it's my fault though.

Hey... don't be too hard on yourself. Sometimes destiny needs to sit on the sidelines while you get the training you need for it. That kind of thing takes a long time.

Yeah, but while I keep failing at Airbending people are getting hurt - broken.

[Ah... so she can't airbend yet. There's always one problem element, isn't there? He mulls this over for a moment, then lifts his shoulder in a shrug, smiling faintly.]

[She heaves a sigh.]

The plus side of this place is that you can take as much time to practice as you need to- what with the whole 'time doesn't flow properly' issue. I'm not fond of the idea of messing with time travel, but I can't deny that it's useful.

[Man, she is really down about this, isn't she? It must be really upsetting, seeing someone's bending get taken away and being unable to help.]

I've got some pretty great teachers, I suppose. Guess I'll have to get it eventually.

Well there are the people who live with me- Tenzin and his kids. Then there's also - it might sound weird to you, but they're my past lives.

[He pauses for a moment; he can't really feign surprise very well, but at least he has an excuse for that. But he tries to imagine what it would be like to hear news like that if he hadn't seen Avatar, and... yeah, that's pretty weird.]

Yeah, that's right. The Avatar gets reincarnated so she or he can keep balance forever. It's not like I'm immortal.
