[Okay, so. Post-draft, he's given himself a few days of seclusion and bed-rest (apparently being infected with a zombie virus is exhausting), and even Billy can freely admit to himself that he's been pretty depressed lately, a fact for which he feels no shame considering that depression was well and truly earned. One can only spend so much time fretting, moping, and dwelling on one's own misery for so long, however, and today? He's decided that enough is enough. Billy will be going out today, limping around the village and visiting the people who were on the draft whose fate he's still uncertain of. The ones he can't find or has no reason to actually visit, he'll check with a light location spell, and he'll spend a few hours at Seventh Heaven people-watching out the window while he doodles in a book that Teddy had given him containing a series of patterns (much like this) that resemble inkblogs, and bit by bit Billy's turning them into something like this instead. It's been a tiring week, though, so you could always catch him napping on the table, instead.
At some point he'll attempt to find Peter, and when both a location spell and a teleport fails, he tries to teleport to the apartment he'd been staying at instead, finding it almost completely emptied. All he manages to dig up is a small cartridge that, after a moment of scrutiny, he identifies as a web fluid cartridge. His fanboyish glee at the discovery is tempered by the fact that the empty apartment means one more piece of bad news.
After his visits and window-watching is done, he'll return home to make the announcement, along with one more message-]

[He sets the book on his lap and bends down, rolling his pant leg gingerly up to his knee, grateful for the fact that he has an affection for loose-fitted pants when he's not running around in spandex (or showing off for a certain someone); it sure made this easier. With the bandage exposed, he can see that all the walking around had reopened the wound as he'd predicted, but apparently it wasn't by much, since it was only a little pink. He leans back and returns his attention to the book, flipping through to find his page again.]
Make sure you wash your hands while you're getting the water. That part's important, so you don't get the wound infected.
[Action]
[No more getting infected, okok. As if to make doubly sure, Teddy rolls up his sleeves and soaps his hands and all the way up to his elbows, just like he'd see on -
He pauses, looking at the mirror with a somewhat incredulous expression, before he turns to Billy, arms up and water dripping down his elbows.]
My mom used to watch ER all the time. [He looks at each arm with a raised eyebrow before turning back to the sink to wash off the suds.] I feel like one of those guys now.
[And that's probably one of the very few times he mentioned his mom without there being an underlying pain in his eyes.]
[Action]
For him to sound even a little casual about it... that's progress, isn't it?]
It was Grey's Anatomy at my place, until Mom got tired of Dad's complaining how inaccurate it is. ...Did you know there's a blonde doctor on that show named Teddy Altman?
[Action]
Then a sloooow turning of his head to look at his boyfriend.]
You don't say. [As the recipient of giggling high school girls who constantly told him about this Teddy Altman lady? Yeah. He knows.
But at least this is a much better topic than his own mother.]
[Action]
What, not a fan? But it's such a great name.
[A lot more easy on the ear than Dorrek, that's for sure. (Not that he'd say as much, he's just quietly grateful.]

[Finally clean, Teddy takes the bowl and fills it with warm water, a less than impressed look on his face as he remembers quite clearly the results of sharing a name with a famous character, especially when said character also has blond hair.]
The problem is when kids come up and ask if you have a sister who's a doctor, or if you're actually a female doctor, or if I know the actress or wrote to them about my name. Here I thought I was free from the name thing.

[He's still teasing; he knows Teddy just loves his full name, after all.
In the meantime he leans in to watch Teddy work with the bandages. Removing them is fairly straightforward unless they stick to the skin, so he doesn't offer any instructions yet.]
[Action]
[Teddy's still slow and careful, despite how easy it ought to be to remove bandages. He doesn't want to make a mistake, is all. With that train of thought, though, he gives Billy a glance before he keeps working.]
Did you know that Draco can say my full name and not make it sound stupid?
[Action]
[Billy lifts a brow at the comment about Draco, though, intrigued.]
I think it's like a law that anything said in Sean Connery's voice sounds awesome.
[He winces suddenly as the bandage catches on some blood and still-healing skin, giving Teddy's shoulder a tap.]
Hey, soak it in a bit of water before you pull that part off.
[Action]
[Looks like this procedure won't be painless, as much as Teddy would like to wish for it. So, he cups one hand into the water, then holds it against the spot, letting it soak into it and hopefully ease it up a little bit.
Once that's done with, Teddy hesitantly pulls at the bandage once more.]
... Yeah, I swear he's the only one who can possibly pull it off. I actually like it when he does it.
[Action]
...Are you saying that you like his voice better than mine?
[C H O O S E W I S E L Y]
[Action]
... Well, it's Sean Connery. He can make old names sound cool.
[But he still leans in to give Billy's knee a kiss.]
But his voice can't do what yours does to me, so I'll take yours over his any day.
[Action]
Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Alright, that's acceptable. Billy leans back with a quiet huff, arms crossing over his chest. It's not like he was particularly jealous (much) or angry (maybe a bit concerned) but Teddy's response is at least mollifying. For now.]
I guess using 'Theodore' is kind of... impersonal.
[Action]
Also brings up bad memories, so don't go using it on me just because an old dragon is doing it. Besides, I'm pretty sure he's using it because 'Teddy' is more of a nickname between friends than anything.
[And after Teddy reaches to rub Billy's arm reassuringly, he moves his hands down once more to finish removing the bandage.]

[Really. Really not worried at all. Even a Sean Connery voice has limits.
Beneath the bandage, the wound is still kind of nasty looking, though it's nowhere near as bad as it was when it was first inflicted; there's still a fair chunk of skin missing, but it's mostly scabbed over, leaving only a bit still exposed and bleeding a little, and the damage there is fresh. He'd gotten healed to an extent, but being zombified had pushed his body hard enough, so pushing it further to heal itself with magic was just risky. He winces at the sight more than any pain, glancing away uncomfortably.]
...Still looks kinda nasty, sorry.
[Maybe they should've gone to the clinic instead?]
[Action]
[And there's another incredulous look, because really Billy. Really. His tastes might be insulted.
Once Teddy gets a look at that bandage, he really can't hold back the wince. He'd seen much worse on the draft, yes, but it's still pretty nasty. And there's an uncomfortable feeling in the pit of his stomach; not from the sight, but for the fact that it's still there, was even there in the first place.
Yeah, he still feels awful about that.]
It's okay. [He shoots him a little smile despite that, and he rubs one hand up and down Billy's leg while looking at the wound again.] Like I said before, Nurse Altman is on it. So, what do I do?
[Action]
...yeah, no. Book. Focusing on the book.]
Well... how's it look? Uh, besides the obvious. You're supposed to wash it with the clean water and check for signs of infection- if it's inflamed around the edges, or there's... you know. Pus.
[He makes a face. Gross. But understandable- the conditions of where he'd gotten the injury were about as unclean as things could get, besides walking in a sewer or something.]
[Action]
[Teddy's hoping to lighten the mood with that. Still, he'll get to work, wetting the cloth with one hand and holding Billy's leg steady with the other, then begins to wash the wound. It's very careful, to the point where he's barely touching it at first. But, realizing that he's not getting anywhere with that, he applies a bit more pressure as he cleans, just enough to actually get something done rather than just. You know, touch it.
After a moment of that, he takes a break to bend down and get a good look at the wound for himself. Yeah, it's gross, and being this close does make that uncomfortable feeling in his stomach grow, but he can handle it. He's doing something good for someone else, after all. Teddy isn't entirely sure what he's looking for, but he at least doesn't see inflammation or, ew, pus.]
It looks a little... pink. But otherwise, still gross. In a not infected way.

[Joking. Joking is good, joking is safe. It brings a very slight, short-lived lilt to his voice even if it doesn't show in his expression. That lightness is something he needs right now, especially moving on to the next part.]
Okay... ah... you get to use your super-senses for this one: does the skin around it feel warmer than the rest of my leg? And does it. Uh. Smell?
[He's really hoping he doesn't have a stinky leg. Bad enough that there's a big chunk bitten right out of it. He's trying so hard not to be stupid and vain about this - injuries happen, and they're never attractive - but he doesn't like this bout of unsexy grossness when his boyfriend is right here to witness it in the worst way.]
[Action]
Speaking of this, though, time for his ability to actually come in handy. With his hands clean, Teddy sets the cloth down and covers the wound with his hand instead, and he shuts his eyes and presses his lips to Billy's knee, breathing in and taking in the scent.
He's still close to the wound, but who cares? It's not like it was Billy's fault he got this, and he's still beautiful even with it. If Billy can look at him even in midshift and not even flinch, even hold his arms while it happens, then he can do this without complaint, too. And it's okay. Good times and the bad, right?
Once he's sure he has his answer, Teddy leaves a kiss on Billy's knee and allows his thumb to lightly caress a bit outside of the wound.]
The good news is, your fantastic leg isn't going to fall off. [And with a softer smile:] You're just fine, Billy.
[Action]
S... stoppit. That's nasty, T.
[It's touching, though. He should've figured that he's just overthinking things- Teddy's not the type to kick up a fuss over this.]
[Action]
[And as if to make do on that, Teddy leans in to kiss his leg again, a little below the knee this time, and keeps his hand where it is.]
It's healing fine. You probably just walked around on it too much. I prescribe rest and lots of TLC from a qualified nurse.

Um. Between the two of us it sounds like we're in for a busy night.
[Action]
Mm. But after we get that wound of yours covered up again. [He scoots forward, holding the back of Billy's foot with one hand while the other waits for further instruction.] So do we bandage it up now, or something else?
[Action]
Okay... once the wound's clean and it isn't infected, we need the first aid kit. Gauze first, then fresh bandages. Wouldn't hurt to use a little disinfectant on the gauze to keep it clean.
