[Okay, so. Several things need to be dealt with here, one way or another. First being the fact that he has a facetwin hanging around who is pretty damn hard to explain, though Tommy being more or less okay with the "brother" title helps with that. Second is that he knows the truth about his heritage now, which is, in short, a huge weight off his shoulders. Third is that his strength is mostly back in his arm as long as he doesn't bend or twist it in a way that stresses his brace too much, which admittedly doesn't mean much, but it does mean that he's able to finish the sketches he'd promised to Pepper's art gallery.

Thus, since it's so warm and dry today, he'll be heading out to deliver a set of hefty-sized rolled sheets of drawing paper to Pepper's art gallery, and then to swing by Tony's house to catch up on some work and maybe fill his... sort-of employer in on the recent developments. Mainly the kid with Billy's face who is probably going to hate him for a while. Tommy's not as keen to forgive as some people.

His last stop will be the plaza, armed with a miniature sketchbook, and props himself up against the side of the fountain to draw whatever comes his way. Occasionally he might have to stop and give his hand a frustrated shake, but hey, there's no physiotherapy like a good work-out, right?

At some point while he's out, though, he'll be doing what he told himself he'd get done: a journal entry that is better late than never.]

[Voice, locked from Tommy]

Hey, it's Billy. Just wanted to get it out there that if you see anybody with my face - or hear my voice, I guess - that's Tommy, my... brother. Kind of. It's complicated. He might be a bit tough to deal with sometimes, but he's not a bad guy, so just try to put up with him, if you can. He could use some friends.

[....]

Just don't let this get back to him, I'd never hear the end of it.

[WOW TOMMY THAT WAS A DICK MOVE- oh wait it's Tommy, this is normal.

Billy leaps to his feet, following the green-and-silver streak around the plaza as best he can.]

Tommy, what the hell?

[The sketchbook won't have anything Tommy will find particularly exciting- mostly sketches of familiar super heroes, some random village residents, scenery. A lot of Teddy. Though there are a few of his lovely lady friends, like Pepper and Rogue.]

Whoisthis. [ Don't mind him just admiring that picture of Pepper, then flipping over to Rogue. There's a smut grin. ]/small>

[Sketch, sketch, sketch- he's totally in the zone. He's actually in the middle of drawing an image of a cat sitting on the fountain ledge licking his front paw, and as Billy looks up to get another glance at his reference, he spots his observer.

Um.

...Why is he staring like that.]

[Pfff.]

Could be worse. At least he can take a hint.

[Yep, still staring. Without blinking. At all. But when Billy looks up at him, Abed just nods. Knowingly.

This is cool. Not Luke Skywalker cool, but still pretty cool.]

[Oh, hey- wait what the hell is he doing in the kitchen. Billy looks shellshocked for a moment, but manages to shake it off, scuffing a hand through his hair.]

More or less, yeah. Among other things.

[He could dive right into the chores, because chances are it's piled up since he took some time off to heal, but one glance in the direction of the supplies closet and his brain goes "nope nope nope", so instead he pulls out a chair and plops down to sit at the table, leaning in curiously.]

What're you working on?

Morning, Pepper. [He lifts a hand to wave, offering up a lopsided smile, then raises the rolled sheets for her to see.] Got a special delivery, if you're taking submissions right now.

He's also very tenacious. I apologize in advance on his behalf.

[Because god knows he'll never apologize for it.]

[Rogue shrugs.]

As long as he doesn't try an' kidnap me, he'll still be one up on Gambit.

[And she dealt with Gambit Just. Fine. JUST FINE. NEVERMIND THAT A FEW MONTHS AGO SHE WAS ACTUALLY CALLING HIM BY NAME.]

Oh, uh, yeah. Sorry, that was me. No thanks needed, though, I was just trying to help out.

[Oh god it's actually kind of hard to stay calm. This is his childhood speaking to him.]

[He would perhaps normally protest the lack of chores on principle, but the kid is on the mend and he knows how that goes. So instead, he pushes the poptart box towards Billy and lets his journal flap shut.]

Taking notes. It's this new thing I'm trying. I know--sounds crazy. It's not really my thing. But I want theories from the journal recorded somewhere else.

[His own theories, too. In case he goes home, it's bound to be useful to someone.]

Mostly just the usual New Feather routine lately, though. Very few notables. I'm a little disappointed.

[It's Luceti, okay, shit gets weird around here.]

There's other enclosures besides our, apparently. We had a few hundred people show up out of the blue and crash in our barrier for a week. It was... crowded, to say the least.

[Too crowded, in fact, but there's no need to worry her so soon after she's arrived.]

Still, I really appreciate it. It looks like you helped her to feel better from being kidnapped. And I'll gladly be your friend. My name's Aang!

Someone a little too old for you, actually, so wipe that look off your face. [Billy would make a grab for the sketchbook, but he knows it's futile with how fast Tommy is, and he'd rather avoid looking like an idiot.] Anyway, that's Pepper- she's dating Tony Stark.

[Wow, that's not creepy at all.

Maybe it's a cultural thing. Maybe staring at people is how he says hello.

STILL CREEPY.]

Uh, hi. You need something?

Pretty sure even he knows that won't get him a date with you, so you're probably safe there.

[Probably.]

He's not... bad, or anything. He never worked with the bad guys, so he's already one-upped the rest of the family besides me.

[ Oh. ]

Huh

[And me.

But Rogue just gives Billy an expectant look. She knows a wind up to a venting session when she hears one, or maybe this is just going to be a friendly warning which is... funny, really.]

But?

[That wasn't the reaction he'd expected.]

Are you at least going to behave with Rogue? You do know her powers, right? Relationships are kind of a big deal for her.

[It's about more than protecting his brother from getting hurt at this point- he doesn't want her getting hurt by someone being insensitive about it. And Tommy is like the epitome of frankness.]

...But.

[Man, it's crazy to realize that she actually knows him well enough to recognize that there's more. Or maybe he's just obviously bothered by it; it's certainly been weighing on him the last few days.]

I'm pretty sure he's hiding something. About my future, or whatever.

[Billy takes a moment to check the flavour - he's picky, okay - before fishing out a package and helping himself to a few bites before he responds.]

Did you happen to notice a motormouth on the journal who showed up a few days ago? Talked too fast for coherency?

[If it's any comfort Billy, this was not the direction she thought this was going to go in. She was anticipating a sibling-rant. Lord knows she's given them about Kurt enough.

...and now she misses him. He'd know what to say here. As it is, she just listens, sober and quiet and giving him as much attention as a woman with over twenty raging psyches in her head can give anyone.]

Somethin' not good?

[It's another moment before he answers.]

You and I have much in common, Billy Kaplan.

[ Boy, you've got a lot to get through. He ignores you and flips through the book. ]

[He could do a rant, he's fairly certain of that. Tommy was the cause of many a frustration back home, and he doubts that habit has faded even in the months that have transpired between their points in history. But at the same time? Tommy had moved in next to them, was willingly living nearby. Tommy accepted that they were brothers, when he'd never done so before. Tommy had allowed an embrace, however brief it was.

He'd never done that before. Any complaints he might have right now just sort of wilt in light of these new developments.]

I don't know. I don't. I want to believe it's good, but the way he said it... I don't know.

[He's quiet for a moment, fingers lacing together uncertainly, then speaks again, his voice slightly hushed.]

He told me we found Wanda. We found Mom.
