And strangely enough, he'd missed it terribly. It was where they started to shed their youthful innocence and step into the world of adulthood and independence together, it was where they laughed and cried together, shared all kinds of secrets, some whispered to the air as they shared stories of each other's lives, some pressed to damp skin as they made love.
It was shelter, and with Billy, it was home. And he missed it.
